Original message:
Thought I'd try "one" more entry before the big day comes. I started by taking a hike and finding the right location for my idea. I used some objects from Hemera to add to my scene. To give the big guy some texture I used adapt equalize filter, and a multitude of Nik filters. I also used a filter from flaming pear to create the moon.
I thought I'd post this with the changes suggested.
This site is a learning experience for me, and it seems appropriate to respond to the expert advice given. Thanks to the suggestions of Phyllis and Greg (which I appreciate very much); I decided to post this updated version. Don’t get me wrong, I have to try the changes to see whether or not I agree, photo manipulations are quite subjective. But when someone is right . . . they’re right!
In addition to getting rid of the flames and smoke around the main subject, I also decided to add a little “moon glow” to some items as well. After seeing the original post I also realized a little more pop wouldn’t hurt either to bring out the character. I added a dark blue gradient to the original scene to give a night effect, then applied midnight blue to soften the background and complete the transition. Of course I made a few other minor changes as well.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but it seems no matter what I submit I always find something wrong “after” I posted (sigh)
Anyway,Thanks in advance for your thoughts, as always, they are appreciated (good or bad, honesty is a prerequisite).

Well, I really liked the previous one,but this one is even better. Removing the head smoke has increased the clarity and focus on the devil.
Great effort.

Looks like you also added a little more reflective light on the tombstone and devil from the firey pit. Nice touch! Definitely one to add to your portfolio. Outstanding!

Thanks all for your input. It seems logical for me to be the one to thank those who are willing to say what they think. I value your opinions (good & bad)
