Using Photoshop 6, PhotoBrush and PhotoImpact
] Opened color channels, used channel with least info, transferred to
greyscale.
] Copied image onto itself, nudged down and right a couple of pixels.
] Copied result to original image, used high gaussian blur, made snapshot.
] Deleted blur action, used history brush on snapshot. Did this several times.
] Most of the cracks etc had gone by this time.
] Went into Photbrush and used averaging brush to take out what was left.
] Re-adjusted torn ear, and uniform.
] Rest was fine tuning with dodge, blur, burn tools. Hell of a job trying to
get him looking like original.
] Did hair, need more practise with that sort of thing.
] Cut out to a transparent background.
] Picked out photo of Chicago, he looked like a Policeman or FireMan to me.
] Used the photo at low opacity for background.
] Used 'Sepia' action.
] Went into PhotoImpact, adjusted a frame.
] Adjusted size etc, sent off.
