Thank you all very much. I really enjoy this place a lot, and get a lot of new ideas. Tell me though, I have tried to find any "Terms of Use" here, but can't find it, am I allowed to post this photo on another photosite, or on my own for that matter? I know about copyright laws, but didn't really see an explisit message on this challenge about this particular photo.

I like! If you look at it carefully (from far away) It looks like a person kinda diving in the water... Swming I mean with thier arms outstreached....
Yeah... kinda...

I like the image and the lay out a lot, but I think that you can do a better job with the reflection, it's not just a matter flip horizontal and ripple, you can control the perspective and the transparency. I think your idea deserves a better dedication to the details next time. I know that I am not asking for miracles, you have enough talent to do it better.

Beautiful! The only thing I would change is the reflection. I'd make it start at the base of the tail instead of so far away. Reflections, like shadows, are usually attached to their origin.

I agree with jakaleena plus a multiply at 40% maybe. The image deserves that.
Congrats

fascinating idea! It certainly grabs my attention. Having said that I also find my self a bit distracted with the composition. I would love to see the orginal photo of just your BF and the lake with this same tone. I think that would be a compelling photo. Also I think this would be an outstanding photo if you just had the whale's tail without your BF.
The combination of the two does provide for an interesting juxtaposition but to me a bit distracting as I said earlier. From a photo manipulation view point the refelction of the whale's tail is a brilliant idea and done very well for the most part.
On the reflection of the tail there are two spots where the water appears to have holes or funnels for lack of a better term. Which I know are ripples from the tail above, but when mirrored became inverted. If you could somehow, (and I don't know the answer) smooth these out then it would be about perfect. I can tell you did a lot of work and it shows.
Overall a super job indeed.
