I "borrowed" a background from a previous challenge, carved with a "Custom Shape" formed as a pumkin, as usual found it at Adobe Photoexchange. Gave the carving some simple texture, and put a new layer behind it to give it the "glow"(made it yellow/white).
Placed it on the background after removing it from the original background(lasso, erasor, delete). Darkened the background a bit, and gave the front some USM before I softened it all a bit.

Looks like we went and got this done at a studio Love the carving very nice job. Now for next time, watch out for blurness- look at left of child in photo, face, shoulders are blurrie, while the right is a little smudged also, great composite all together though and hey if i was to get this frm a studio i would want the spots in the back ground removed, in the sky, look like dust spots, but thats me being picky, hum, why cant i do that to my self? lol

Excellent!!! I love the colorful background you put behind him. It really looks great and nice job on the jack-o-lantern as well.
