Used GIMP. Should have taked better notes too...
First i made a sketch version by duplicating, set to B&W, divide. Then i put a color version back in and put it under the sketch. I smart blurred it, gaussian blurred it a bit, then increased the contrast a bit. I put the skectch version on multiply blending mode. I flattened these layers, then drew on the "frame". Thats about it.

We PS folks don't have anything on the GIMP gang, that's for sure.
The framing compliments the sketchy look.

Thanks alot. Danny- i dont know about that. I try though. Sometimes i really wish i had a filter that i heard someone else describe. But is fun working with something where i have to figure out how to do stuff myself.
