Hey all,

Extracted the whale tail from the initial picture. Found some pictures of cats and proceeded to put the parts together that I needed.
I used a combination of several different gradients, then applied them at different opacities. Two were diagonal, oposite of one another. One was just a regular vertical gradient.
After all items were in place, to give the illusion that the tail was in the fish bowl I offset the lower portion of the selection and used a distortion filter (wave I think) on the lower section of the tail.
Added some shadows and highlights to the tail and painted some whiskers in.

Used levels and corrected all colors of each layer before flattening. Enhanced the picture with the Nik skylight filter after all was complete.

Hi!
The expression on the Cats face is just perfect, put together very well. That is a very clean bowl, no reflection of any sort?

I smiled as soon as I saw the thumbnail, and the larger images are even better. Fun concept and excellent execution -- good job!

The colors are wonderful and the cat's expression is purrfect!

I agree, cute and funny. Great job on the paw one nubby on outside two inside. From the two catch lights the cat posed for you, has an adorable face.

Thanks all,

The truth is . . . the cat was just hungry.
