Well Traveled

This was a fantastic black and white … I wanted to maintain the age and the quietness of the setting … so I started with a normal color job. Then I used the Pencil2 filter followed by a Overlay blend. Then I added a new layer and filled it with white … tried a couple other colors, but I liked white best … Then I added a layer mask to that layer and painted through the mask and adjusted the depth of color. Finally flattened the image.

While I DO love what you did with this photo, to be fair, I must say to you what I said to Phili yesterday. That is, this section is for retouching of photos, not for photo art, so perhaps in the future it would be best to keep these categories where Doug intended them to be. Danny's forum section allows for members to put their photo art renditions there, including this one, if you chose.

Just for the record. Still like the pic.

Love this result.

Challenge: Colorize this portrait

Phyllis where does colorization end and photo art begin??

I decided to delete my two submissions before I get busted. :-)
