background pic is from freefoto.com, was going to scan one of mine, but i couldnt find what i wanted
 anyways.. using photoshop 7, layer 1 bg- selective color,layer 2, scanned in a snowman, which my neice made, layer 3 took off boys head, distorted,lightened, eraced at 25, layer 4 stamped in extra shadows and gave more depth. 10min total time.

Nice manipulation work and great job blending in the boy's face. This would make a lovely book cover about some magical story...perhaps along the lines of Frosty the Snowman or Jack Frost.
