Thank you so much Wanda, this was one of the HARDEST things to do, lol! Lots of freehand work since i have so much to learn about technique. Thanks again.

Niagra, nice job turning the boy into a snowman complete with scarf, mittens and top hat (no proper snowman would be without one ).
Why don't you share a little bit on how you created that snow coat of his. Nice job blending in the boys face and I also like the new background. A very lovely winter wonderland for a snowman. Well done.

i drew the body free hand, starting with a bottom white circle and filling in with a granite texture. i made the body circle, drew in the arms and then the head. i textured them all the same, with the granite and then pinched and punched to give it a little dimension. i shaded, smudged and pushed to give it the shape i wanted. i cut the face and shoes out and promoted them to a layer and then repasted them onto the body, blending them in. The shoes never looked quite right so i melted the image down over them. i punched the face out and adjusted the contrast so it would blend more. i copied and pasted the mittens in, shading and copying layers of the texture in, then blending more. i selected the background from the ground up and erased with a turquoise background. i cut the image and placed it on a new background and pushed and smudged to blend it in. i copied and pasted layers of the bushes to cover up a spot under the lamp post that wasn't jiving. i pasted on the hat, since the shape of the head was just too pumpkin like. i darkened and softened it to match the rest of the pictures tone and then finally drew in the scarf with a dithered texture. i used a crumple filter on the scarf knot and then re-softened the entire image.

Great job I love the background. The snowman goes right with it.
