OK, thought I better post this before next Christmas comes along. I usually don't venture into the manipulation challenges, but.... A Christmas Ornament, well, I have always put cards on my tree, I have a Victorian tree, and a Traditional tree. I guess an ornament means different things to different people. Any how I enjoyed doing this challenge.
PhotoShop 7, PhotoImpact, Digital Camera
The very first thing I did was to take a picture of my own tree of one bulb nestled behind the needles with one light showing on the right side. I changed the photo to a tiff file so I could work on it. I then scanned a Christmas card of Mother & Child. Went to Edit, transform, Scale. Used the handles to get the image the correct size to fit on my bulb. It helped to have the bulb somewhat the same color.
When sized I took the elliptical tool and selected a circular image. Edit, cut, paste into the original image. I then adjusted the opacity, and used the eraser and move tool when needed.
I then opened the image in PhotoImpact and applied the subtle frame, and text.
Opened again in PhotoShop 7 applied filter, Artistic, dry brush, Edit fade dry brush to around 20% Then added a little noise, uniform, monochromatic, around 5 or 6. I hope this passes all of your expertise, this isn't one of my strong suits, just couldn't resist to wish everyone a Merry Christmas
