T Paul Moderator Registered: August 2001 Location: USA Posts: 2,921 users gallery	Using PhotoShop 7.0 1. Found a photo of a cute, but angry gopher and extracted the gopher from the image. 2. Cleaned up the gopher using healing brush and clone tool. 3. Copied the gopher into the hand image. 4. Extracted the hand onto its own layer above the gopher image layer. 5. Lassoed one of the front leafs and placed it on it’s own layer above the gopher layer so that the gopher would be behind the leaf. 6. Created a new layer called shadows and used the airbrush to add a few shadows to the gopher’s body 7. Flattened and saved the image for the web.

This is one cute but angry gopher! Composition went very well - I had to read the description to see whether it was a planter (shaped like a gopher) or was a composite or what. I was drawn to the thumbnail image by the colors before I had any idea of the subject matter. Nice work, T. (but why is he being held over a bunch of potatos?)

Because I was too lazy to change the background and only had time for a quick manipulation. And who says gopher's don't like potatos

When I seen the thumbnail . . . I didn't have a clue as to what the picture content was. Now that I'm looking at it, I think, this is the "first" abstract gopher picture I've had the pleasure of viewing

Gopher & Potatos . . . sounds like a treat.
