Wanda Schwind Junior Member Registered: January 2002 Location: Ohio users gallery	Wow, thanks, Doug! I always wanted to do something from scratch, but was too chicken. This challenge gave me the nudge I needed. Painter Classic New document, paper color, a golden brown. I began to sketch using my Wacom tablet, which I have not done before. I usually sketch and scan. I lightly sketched using the 2B pencil in the brushes palette. sketched in the hair, face, facial features, clothes. I then began to paint. I used soft chalk, pen, airbrush, just add water brush. I adjusted equalize several times during the process. Believe me it looked like a mess for a while, I didn't have much hopes for it. I followed this tutorial as a guide only. minstead.swinternet.co.uk./pastut1.html As you see mine looks nothing like this. When everything was painted I added texture, basic paper. Well, I had fun, I don't know where this little girl came from, my imagination I guess. However, I feel rather close to her now that she's done. Thanks for this site, it's wonderful

Wanda, this is wonderful! I love the colors and the depth that you acheived. Beautiful work!

Beautiful -- the eyes are riveting (sp?). I like the colors used and the texture, very nice portrait.

This is great. I love the eyes. The mouth is a little too full for me; but, hey what do I know.

Wonderful! Very realistic! I tried to go to the tutorial you mentioned (so I could learn how you did this) but am getting a 'page not found' error. Could you check to see if it is correct?

Mom3, thank you. I'm sorry about the link, thank goodness, Dear David came to my rescue! I used the tut just as a guide, I took it one step further and turned it into a painting. I hope it helps you, it did me :smile:
