Thank you Phyllis.
I did forget to mention in my description that I used Photoshop. So, I'm happy that you picked up on that.
I also have Painter Classic and Deep Paint. However, I'm not patient nor disciplined enough to try to teach myself those packages. So I reverted to PS for this one.
I really wish I could get the hang of the the others, as Wanda has shown us how Painter Classic works so beautifully.
Thanks again!!!!!

This is amazing! I'm very impressed!!!
All this beach needs is...me. In a bikini, being fanned by a cabana boy, sipping a pina colada.
Now I'm all flustered.

Oh, Lorraine, this is soooooooooo beautiful. I can feel the breeze, the warmth of the sun, the smell of the water and the sand between my toes! I'm really sick of the cold and snow, this painting gave me a lift. Thank you!! Who needs Painter Classic, this is a LOVELY painting.

Lorraine this is just beautiful!
I think I am on LBI (Long Beach Island, NJ) right now by the lighthouse!
OK not right now with all the snow, but in your image.
WONDERFUL!

that's beautiful work Lorraine! I really like the soft kind of dreamy looking quality, I wish I was somewhere that looked even remotely nice as that, right now it's snowing here!

Nice job and well done.
The only suggestion I would make, would be to have a more appropriate depth of field. That is to make the foreground more in focus than the background. I think this would give more depth to your idea (even if your idea is more surrealistic in nature). Again, this is just a suggestion. Afterall, who can dispute art?

Wow and thanks so much themanda, Wanda, Twinb, David, LQQKER and Nick. I didn't except so many nice comments.
LQQKER -- thank you for the suggestion. I'm going to try to rework this, since it was my first attempt at digital drawing from scratch.
Wanda, I know how you feel with this winter that just won't end. Normally, I'm a winter person, but this year was way too much.
LOL, Twinb -- LBI is beautiful. We normally go to Manasquan. We had a summer house in Manasquan when I was a kid, and I still love to go back there. I was "Down the Shore" last week and the beach was covered in snow. It looked so very cold.
David, I have a special request from you. Can you keep that Canadian air out of the Northeastern US until, maybe, July, when we could use it?
Take care all,
Lorraine

lovely piece, and for a first 'from scratch', that's pretty damned impressive!
might i suggest just one thing to play with... this is not a criticism at all of what you've done, just some alternative things to try. play around with the crop a bit. i see several other interesting looks in that picture.
