What a wonderful drawing. I love especially the frosted glass vase. Isn't it amazing how a nudge from Doug can bring out everybody's talent?

Excellent work. Love the colors. Looks like it came out of your garden. David is right we are the fortunate audience.

Beautiful work Lorraine, I've learnt a lot looking at it, but you appear to have the top and bottom of the vase on the same plane, it thows out the connection to the table.

Excellent drawing Lorraine. The flowers are beautiful and shading is also done well. The top and bottom portion of the vase should have a curve (more on the bottom) to give the illusion that the mid-point (probably flower stem area) is eye level.

Hi all and so many thanks for your comments. You all are too kind, but I love it
Nick and LQQKER, I've taken note of the suggestions you've made.
They help greatly, especially since I've only gone back to this after so many years and have forgotten some of the rules for perspective.
Also, I did this with the intent of printing it, and the colors you see here are not what is printing out. The overall result is much more muted.
So, I have to be careful to avoid muddy looking shadows, etc. But I did redo the bottom of the vase to add a dark shadow where it meets the table, and that looks much better.
Thank goodness for layers and the fact that things can be redone so easily.
Thanks again, everyone. If I get another successful drawing, I'll definitely post it.

LOL and thanks jusmybbnme -- I really like your name too
I agree, the drawing challenge is so much fun. I didn't think I'd even submit one, but now I'm hooked and I've got two up here.
I've been reworking my original to get the highlighting higher on the vase. It's so helpful to have professional eyes looking at your work. That's the really great part about RetouchPRO. Welcome and I hope to see more of your work.
