Sunburn- Challenge 26
Using Paintshop Pro 7
1. Promoted image to a layer.
2. Duplicated layer.
3. Set both layer's blend mode to "multiply". By doing this it will help darken image & eliminate "wash-out" effect.
4. On 1st or top layer I set it's opacity to 80.
5. On second or duplicated layer I left it's opacity @ 100%.
6. I then se automatic saturation enhancement filter to: more colorful & weak. This seemed to put a little color in their faces.
7. Next, lady's hair & skin appeared to blend in with background. Therefore, on top layer I desaturated her hair by selecting smudge tool & setting it to saturation down, opacity @ 100, step @ 25,density @ 50 & hardness @ 0.
8. For lady's washed-out forehead I created a new layer & set blending mode to normal & opacity value to 55%. Set foreground color to match surrounding skin area. Uing paintbrush tool I painted over blown highlights.
9. I probably could have monkeyed around somemore with both man & lady's skin textrues but decided to leave them alone, what do you think?
