First I made a duplicate layer and started removing patches with Clone brush.
Then I started re touching on a working layer with Healing brush. And adjusted Levels then flattened the image. In Duotone mode applied Black and Brown together to get the Brownish tint. Copied and pasted the signature from the original picture.
Hardly a day I took to complet this work.

Very nicely done. The duotone color looks nice for her. Very good.

Most excellent work Vijayan...she is beautiful! There is only a slight small cloudy area on the right hand edge of her hair...but beyond this--your restoration work is superb! I also happen to think that restoring older photos to a more realistic and vivid appearance adds to the image---not detract. You do such lovely work in this regard by making the images look crisp and new again! :-)

Jenny :-)

Thank you DW for your nice comment.
And Jenny you made me to respect your words. Very responsible job you are doing.
For hair and some other areas I didnot touch over that lited foggy plains. That is the remaining part of first clean up and I left it as it is.

Thank you very much.

Superb -- what techniques do you use to restore the neck, chin, and eyes?

Thanks pjb,and scott for the compliment.
Scott, it is nothing but traditional, with healing brush anchoring on appropriate tonal areas and drag. Same way the tool clone also does, and this time some contrast and details can also create with this.

vijayan,
I think you did an excellent job. Your instincts of knowing when to call it quits were on the mark. I'll call it a "classic" job!

Gorgeous job. The amount of work you put in to this really paid off.
