this is a very interesting choice of colors for this photo. While its not at all with the time period ( looks like 1960's America ) I think its very unique. But my question for you is,do you think these colors work for this photo ?
Excellent technique BTW!

I see what you meant on the colors and agree with Mindy the colros are 60/70 but never the less it an awsome job, she would be happy to look like that

These reactions are very logical and interesting also. I know you peoples are teritorialy belong there and you must be knowing better about Indians. I went through the editions of Bride and found that all entries are in sober, cool colours and in a pleasant looking. Then I decided and she agreed to go for some fast colours. There I followed Dug also.
I do not think this one has any periodic reference or has some traditional back droop also.
Any way Mindy very thanks for your observations.
And Phili very interestingly your work progressing. Thank you very much.

I won't complain about the colors because I like the bold look. No one said it had to be historically accurate, did they? Love how you did the background.

Vijayan we in america have native clothing on display in many museums that have faded with time. One does not know the true colors of the garment when it was made. Your rendition show what the true colors could have been. I like it!

vijayen,
i do love the colors in your image, and now i think i realize what was bothering me about it: she needs color in her face too. I would like to see her with bright lipstick and eyeshadow in colors similiar to the women of your country. What do you think?
