I did a mixture of techniques this time. I did my usual clipmask (PS users, read "layer mask" on some areas like the skin, bracelet, jerkin, background, so I could do broad colorization via adjusting the color hue and then "erasing" the areas I don't want. But this was the first time I'd used a brush to colorize (using Color merge mode). I found that creating the clipmask of the leather jerkin and erasing out all the beads first gave me some freedom when it came to coloring the beads - since I had the leather on a layer above the beads, I didn't have to worry about the color of the brush getting onto the leather - made for a bit faster coloring. The colors I used were... using Photopaint's native RGB palette: Chalk for the yellow beads. Using a palette that is not really for this work, I guess, I used the latest Pantone PMS Coated palette... the red beads were PMS 485 90%, the dark green beads were pms 352, the clear green beads were PMS 7491 80%, the bone were PMS 468 60%, puka shells were PMS 467 20%, and the dark blue beads were PMS Reflex Blue 60%.
The hair and the dark black beads I kept as their original greyscale, but used the Adjust/Selective Color to increase the black levels.

Thanks! I was trying to be as realistic as possible with this. I don't know that all of the bead colors are all that "realistic", but I tried

well, the directions stated we were not supposed to fix the background - I just couldn't control myself on that.
