Using Photoshop 7
Selected lily with a combo of magnetic lasso, quick mask and feathering.
Pasted a copy on a new layer.
Filled in COLOR mode with black to create a B&W version of lily.
Applied CURVES to just that layer where the curve values looks like a "Z" on its side. This sort of resembles a metallic tonality.
Applied a COLOR OVERLAY of a deep orange/brown and set that blending mode to COLOR (this is done in the Layer Style dialog box.
Duplicated this layer and went back to style and changed to LINEAR DODGE. Changed layer opacity to 73%.
On a new layer I used a starburst shaped brush to apply some subtle highlights to the brightest points on the petals.
