Hue/Saturation layer played around Add fill layer Pantone 457c, layer masked B/G from 457c and added Inner Glow Added colour burn layer 46% and masked B/G from burn Thats it, not sure about it its not really my scene

Col,
While it doesn't look like it was dipped in gold, you did achieve and interesting vibrancy. The colors are just so nice.
If you want to play around making things gold, but you don't want to cut out the lily, maybe you could play with making EVERYTHING guilded. Some of the other submitters did some really great things, that you might enjoy trying.
