I thought it would be fun to change the color of this image. I did this using Image, Adjusment, Selective color. I selected the Lily, inverted the selection and filled with black. In Painter classic I applied sharpen 2.27, and the ribbed paper texture. I then cropped.

The texture is wonderful, I love the folds of the petals. This is so wonderfully painterly.

Wanda, what can I say? I think I'm doing good work, then I see yours and you totally blow me out of the water. This is sublime. You really make Painter sing, don't you?

pjb, thank you I've "missed" being able to do the challenges like I use too. But I will breeze in and out that's for sure. Thanks again for taking the time.

Oh, Themanda, don't say that!! You don't do "good" work you do excellent work. Your submission is the best, top notch. As a matter of fact I think you fulfilled the challenge requirements better than I. I'm not very good at capturing other's techniques, but you....Well, in my opinion you nailed it Thanks, Themanda

Subtle and effective. The background really sets this off.
