Here's my submission for Challenge #31, and it's my first attempt at applying a metal finish to anything.
Background layer is darkened with levels and desaturated with hue/sat adjustment layers. Lily was selected and copied onto a two new layers. I embossed the bottom lily layer. The next layer I treated with the Pentools Metal Leafer filter set to gold, then made three copied of that layer. First copy was embossed, set to Color blend mode, and 87% transparency. Next copy was set to color. Third copy was set to Normal, and 31% transparency.
