PhotoShop 7, Painter Classic
Duplicated the image, Adjusted levels. I began to blend the original bk/grnd using the smudge tool, but decided to open in Painter Classic and use the Just Add Water brush to blend. It does the same thing as the smudge tool, but I think it's easier to use for this.
When the bk/grnd was blended together I opened in PhotoShop - adjusted color balance, and applied selective Color to achieve the color I wanted. Edit-Adjustments, Color Balance, Selective Color. I repaired any defects with the clone tool. I used the smudge tool, and the airbrush on face, blanket, and shirt. I blended out the print on the shirt by using a soft brush and the color picker, picking a color from the shirt close to the printed areas I wanted to blend away. I then used the smudge tool to blend.
Using the eyedropper I picked a color from the girl's lips, blend mode, color, and painted her lips with a very small brush. I used the same color for her cheeks, and a dab on the chin, using the airbrush.
I then added a few more bangs and hair to fall over the shoulder. I used Natural Brushes, #12, #14.
Opened in Painter Classic applied Basic Paper texture, scale, 47%, amount 15%.
Opened in Photo Impact and applied frame. Again thanks for such a lovely photo to work on, and for another opportunity to learn. I hope this doesn't look too light on some monitors. Thanks, everyone
