Took half of day to restore photo dreading the plaid skirt.
Then did some research of my own about the Black Watch. Found a figurine online that had red hose and green ribbon. Liked the fashion sence of that look and chose to run with it.
Worked on all the easier coloring until I could no longer put off the inevitable. Okay took swatch provided and noticed that it was about the right size of the pattern so I dupilicated in order to make the pattern cover the skirt. Kay. Erased all the stuff that wasn't suppose to be plaid. Took that layer into liquify and used the bulg to get the lines to not be perfectly straight. Layed it on top in pin light mode 24%. Layed a duplicate copy underneath that desaturated at 49%. This kept the right highlites and shadows. Basically played for about an half hour on just trying to get the skirt to look less like a redid it and more like i just colored it.

This is the result. I am very pleased with a days work.

Very nice colors - authentic, and yes you got the chair! Very good idea on how to work the color swatch to the Kilt. You also kept the feel of an old photo with a very good clean up job on the damage.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments. I like my work even more when I get this kind of great feedback.

Phili1 : The pattern on the curtain was really just the original picture. The pattern on the skirt is detailed in the description. Any questions email me.

Love your chair Cvandever.
It would be easy to get the
perspective wrong, but your
chair looks great.

Like you I searched the internet to
get some ideas for colors in the
uniform. I didn't get much help.
I gave him a white ribbon on his
sox, should have read your description
first.
