Restoration Challenge #51
Like most of the enterants I spent a long time cleaning up the original pic with the clone and healing tools also the smudge tool.I also used the dust and scratch filter on the background
Then selected the jacket with the pen tool and adjusted the colour with the color balance and hue/saturation options in the adjustments file. then did the same for most of the other details apart from the kilt.
With the kilt I used the tarten swatch at the side I defined it as a pattern and then poured it into the selected kilt area with the paint bucket tool. Found the pattern was too big so started again made pattern smaller then went through the same procedure again.
The most difficult part was the chair after many tries at different things in the end I found pic of chair through Google images stretched it out to look like a couch. Photoshop 7 throughout.

Great work. I always admire photoshop users that get in an dig with the pen tool. (evil in my book)like the inventiveness with using another chair.
