I started this a couple of days ago, gave up on it, and then came back to it tonight. Now it's 4AM and I can't decide if I like it or not. It was fun to be the architect. Being a Pisces, my landscape had to have water and fish. The pond was fun to build out of pieces of 5 or 6 pictures. Anyway, there it is. I'm going to bed now, to dream of koi and a tall iced tea on the patio.

PERFECT! Lighting, composition, balance, colors! Detail, detail, and more detail.
I'm grabbing a dog from Ken's and sitting in your back yard! LOL

Wow what a lovely pond! I am in the process of actually building a stream, waterfall and pond on the other side. I am going to create a nice cascading stream that turns into a waterfall and ends in a Koi pond very similar to what you have created. Too bad PhotoShop doesn’t actually dig. The furniture looks a little small in scale, especially the two person couch and chair in back. I’m not sure about the lime green house (grin), but it does match the grass. The awnings and flower boxes are a nice touch. And I like how you have covered the back retaining wall with vines. What is the red area at the top of the vines? Overall a great landscape job! You have created a wonderful retreat. I can’t wait until Ken gets over here with the BBQ!

Thanks for the kind comments, all. I did consider putting Ken's grill in there, but he needs to clean it first. TP - I agree the house color is not so good. It looks a bit more yellow than green on my monitor, but still it needs to be a more subtle yellow. It was late and I had other fish to fry. I could have done more with the trim around doors and windows too. I also agree with you about the furniture. In the cold light of day I can see it needs to be bigger. The red area at the top of the wall is brick - details lost in the distance. I might do some work on this and resubmit later in the week. Good luck with your pond, T. I have one (sans fish - which the raccoons kept eating, so I gave up)and it is a very peaceful and happy place.
