Well I think my Title says it all!
1.Copied image soft light
2.Used a lot of paint on black to add detail in soft light
3 Blured everything
High pass sharpen
4 Blured again
5 High Pass agian
6 Paint Balck again
7 Cures adjustment
I am sure I did all of these many times, in the end saved it, as I had had enough

Col - great name for this image.
I clicked on the image hoping to see a larger view but I did not get one. I wanted to get a better view of the detail you got in the faces. It looks as though you got very good detail in all three men.

The BG seems a bit bright in comarison to the depth you got in the three men. Still a great job on a very difficult image.

Thanks TwinbNJ, I think I got the sizing wrong. I did focus mostly on the 3 men, hated the B/G. Col

col,

i too couldn't get larger size.

the faces are alway the most important to me , and what i can see looks a lot better to me.

bg seems a little too blurry, like they have filled the room with smoke and it threatens to envelop them.

there's a light area crossing guy on right's right shoulder (to us) extending through mid left chest of guy on left, would be better a little darker.

good efforts col.

Twin & Kathleen
With the faces I used a black piant brush around the edge of the face and over eyes mouth etc, then give it a small Gan Blur and set it to Soft light and play with opcity.
