To get a good BW picture I did it in the channel mixer. then started re touching with clone and healing brushes. then I got a clear picture .
I did selections for each and every colourised portions and applied colour overlay. Each time I adjusted the levels for each layer to get the true tones.
Hand painted the side pannel and the hand rest of the chair. then adjusted final levels...

WOW
I think this is outstanding. As always with your pictures I think you have a glass ball that you see more in than anyone. The only thing though I find the woman's face seems a bit plastered on. The man's head is ok but for one reason or another her head doesn't seem wright.

What a striking restoration Vijayan.

I can see the huge amount of work you
have done here.
I like rich strong colors and this certainly
qualifies in the vibrancy department.

Super job on the mans jacket.
I like your choice of background colors.
Love the red curtain, brown background and
red carpet.

Vibrant colors!! Great work Vijayan. On most restores I'm looking for your posts just for the beautiful restoration work and colors u use. Gina's observation is the most obvious thing that struck me too. Her head looks kind of disembodied. I also noticed the front leg of her chair is missing too... too precarious!! :teeth: Another thing I noticed that I havent seen on any of the restores is the way the tassels of the chair actually go right along the length of the armrest, right to the back not just a single tassel at the front. Then again... dont you think the tartan skirt should begin from below the belt?? Damn, Im sorry, I'd keep going on and on about little points.. and then this would sound like a major criticism :teeth: (If you want to know those itty bitty things Im harping about... let me know ) So I'll stop right here :teeth: Fantastic job Vijayan... If I do post mine all of ya can tear me up
