Done in Photoshop 7.0, started with auto levels and saturation. fixed stain with airbrush, replaced mothers forearm with stock photo arm. Selective colorization to bring out babys jumper and background. Lightened dads glasses, used healing brush for blemishes and shiny skin spots.

Excellent work, the arm looks great.

But there seems to be a strong red
and magenta color cast in the top
half of this photo.

I hit Auto Color in Photoshop and
the color cast vanished. The faces
were toned down and the trees became
a natural green. It was a great improvement on my monitor.

Hope you'll try Auto Color and see if it is helpful.

Matt, you were right about the auto color. I just isolated it to the background though. I thought it muted the faces too much. I do have a penchant for oversaturation.
Svsg, by "stock photo" I just mean a photo I already had. In this case it is my wifes arm, cut, pasted, transformed, color adjusted, and blended via healing brush. Sometimes it's just the only way to make it look right.
