Basically, I selected broad areas like the sky, water, man, rocks. For each item, I adjusted the color hue, adjusted selective color, and then ran a smart blur on it to blend colors/give it a bit of a paint feel.

Took the wings off of a butterfly from a Hemera Photo Object, rotated it, and placed on the man.

I added noise to the image to match, somewhat, the images provided by the link to Max Parrish's samples... don't know if it really is that great of a "max parrish" style, but I kind of like the effect the noise gives it.

Good colors - the butterfly wings are a very interesting add! Good idea.

THanks, Reason! It seemed that a lot of his work had "faeries" in them, so that's where I got the wings idea from.
