Lets see

I didn't do anything to special

I cloned the adults left eye and made it her right eye

Followed by some airbrushing, some dodging and some burning maybe a little smudge tool here and there

On the baby I just used a little airbrushing and some cloning on her dress.

I like the way the baby turned out, but I don't like the way she turned out.

I really like how you have chosen to crop this image. It places all you focus on the mother and daughter and creates a very loving image. Nice job removing the sun streaks from their faces too. I agree that the adult didn’t turn out as strong as the baby, but this was a difficult photo to work with, and the mother had a much larger and stronger sun streak to remove. I think part of the problem with the adult’s face is that some of it appears to have been blurred and has a softer look to it than other parts of the face. I think the entire face would need to be softened equally to make it appear more natural, but then you would need to do the same to the baby’s face to keep everything balanced.
