Spc. Curtis Orange of Greenbelt, Md., slam dunks a ball during the 3-on-3 Blacktop Basketball Tournament May 14. The competition was one of many events held to commemorate Armed Forces Week.

Best known for his brilliantly colored, stunningly energetic images of sporting events and leisure activities, LeRoy Neiman is probably the most popular living artist in the United States. His art is unique. It stands alone, without any real comparison. It is an art which has become controversial because Neiman has broken the barriers of many of the most hallowed assumptions of modern art history and contemporary criticism. It is an art that is loved by millions of people throughout America and around the world.

Here's his official website
Here's some additional reference material

Doug, regarding Photo Manip Chall
#19, I tried to download two separate versions but only one version uploaded twice - or something. Could you please delete the first one, the one entitled, Neiman Style? I'd like to keep Neiman Style, ver 2 intact. Then when the first is deleted, I can re-up the correct one. Did I make that clear? If I've mixed you up too much, you can always delete them both and I'll try the whole thing again.
