This was harder than I first expected. I ended up doing very little on a global basis, instead, selecting specific areas to work on, faces, dress, background, etc. I relied a lot on selective color adjustments on this one. I painted over, in overlay mode on her dress to reduce the bad spots. I ran it through neat image. I wanted the colors more warm/vibrant so I used NIK Pen Palette and painted in some warmth where I felt it needed it. These aren't very good comments but this was a case where I thought it was going to be easy and I got so into it I forgot to note my steps.

Fine work Ken,
Like Marina, I love the rich colors.
And also like the smooth skin tones.
What a huge improvement on the original!
What is the NIK Pen Palette Ken?

Thanks for the kind reviews Mat and marina. Matt, pen palette is a plugin from NIK, I got a free version with my Wacom Tablet and I bought the upgrade from them. Here's a link to learn more about it.

Ken this is a very soft version of the image. It just screams romance! The colors are wonderful. I hate to sound like everyone else but ---- very well done!

This is really soft and romantic looking.
I would say this was more of an "enhancement" than a "restoration"
