1 Used pen and path to select the boys and adjust contrast and levels individually.
2 Used burn, dodge and clone to even out the large dark patches and emphasize features.
3 Reselected boys to unsharp mask them.
4 Cleaned up background a bit.
5 Sharpened a little more.
6 Did a slight noise median with layer opacity at 30.
7 Despeckled.
8 Resubmitted after softening suits and sharpening.

Wow this one is excellent.
You have got loads of definition in the left most man,I had trouble finding his feet and guessed but you have got his leg looking very natural.
