Matt,
Nice job. It would be better if the towel was removed and also the background put slightly out of focus.

Thanks for your comments svsg.
My first impulse was to remove the towel.
But I thought the left side of high chair would look a little bland without the colorful towel. I didn’t think it un-balanced the photo
or clashed with the new background colors,
so I kept it.
But judging from the other submissions coming in I’m going to be
very, very lonely in including the towel.
I felt the flowers and bush were far too close behind the baby to soften the focus.

Very clean job. I don't blame you for leaving the towel. It would be a daunting task indeed to remove it given all the subtle shadows present.

Baby on the patio! I don't think the DOF is that off, if this was taken in the garden.... very good maipulation in color, balance and overall presentation.

I appreciate your comments TwinbNJ,
I was tempted use a vignette, but I love attractive and colorful backgrounds that showcase the main subject.
I am quite fond of this one, but apart from you and Ken no one else seems to like it much.

if you wanted to remove the towel id just cut and paste the top left cnr of the pram seat...
not as hard as you would think

Matt, this is one of my personal favorites! You did a great job giving him a nicer background! I even like the towel! It gives it a casual, unposed look that I really like. Great job!

Thanks for the comments on this old one FrannyMae,
I was really happy with the way this one came out.
I liked the yellow towel more and more as I worked on this.
Glad you like it.

Matt, I love this setting in the garden. Perfect! I would give you a 10 if I could score you. I did attempt to sharpen the motion blurred hand but wasn't successful. Can you give a little more details on how you did it only if it is not a trouble to you. Cheers! Happy New Year!

Excellent bg choice Matt, and nicely done. The colouring/levels on the baby's face looks really good, as does your finger making. Knowing how you like to tidy up, I'm absolutely amazed you left that towel there (though I agree it belongs).

ckc108 – Gee this one was a long time ago!
Like you I found the hand far too blurred to sharpen.
I think I did some repair work on the good hand and
did a Copy – Paste – Flip – and a little re-touching so
it didn’t look too much like a clone job.
Doug – Thanks for the comments.
I’m never sure how new backgrounds are going to turn out.
I was happy with the results on this re-touch.
