Opened up the tonal range with a curves layer 2. Added a fleshtone layer (color blending mode) for the face, hands and neck 3. Added a facial touch-up layer for adding some red highights to face 4. Added coloring to the rest or the photo 5. Sharpened the image selectively with an unsharp mask and painting on to a layer mask

Your getting pretty good at this!
Just wondering, has he got a long sleeved white vest on? Or is his fore arm pale white? Through the sleeve hole on HIS left arm.
Cor ain't I being picky.
Brilliant job as usual.
Just thinking - Your house must be wonderfully decorated!!!

Hi

I'm new to the whole photoshop thing been studying
for +- 4 months and trying my hand at some of the
projects! I haven't submitted anything as yet, still
trying to work up the courage....hahaha!
But I just wanted to let you know that I think you
did an AWESOME job on this picture, its a real work
of art! Maybe I give this one a shot and see how it
comes out!

Hello Kezzy:

Hang in there and keep practicing, work with techniques from good books and this web site. With color, less is better. It seems like when we first start to colorize photos we like to use more color than is natural.
