This doesn't exactly fit the Challenge criteria. In fact, I'd composed this photo before I came across the RetouchPro site. But I had a lot of fun and I think it's not bad for a raw beginner.

Using PSP8 (and lots of layers), I've combined a photo of my daughter (selected out of a group shot, a hand removed from her shoulder, faded edges, etc.) with a photo of her boyfriend's hand (taken especially and removed from the background) and a free shot of a cloudy sky which I found on the net.

To get the correct placement IN the hand, I copied the fingers and front of the hand onto another layer, positioned her sort of in front of the hand and then positioned the finger in front of her.

Then I copied a bit of cloud onto another layer, brushed on some chalk, and positioned it over the arm.

Sounds simple, doesn't it? I guess I've got a lot of time on MY hands.

I think it's beautiful even if it's the wrong hand. Well done.
