Nice work Matt.
I like the blue curtains but on my screen the whole image has a slight blue tint.

Thanks for the comments Christine,
I can't see any blue tint on my monitor.
I treated myself to a new monitor for Xmas,
and am not skilled enough to callibrate it.
I would appreciate it if any other members see the blue tint drop me a comment.

Hey Matt! Great job on the image and the blue curtains are a nice touch.
I too get a slight blue overall on my monitor.

TwinbNJ, Christine and Ian,
Thanks for your help with my color caste problem.
I looked harder and took some samples and info read-outs.
Sure enough, far too much blue content.
My new Monitor is a slim flat-screen with a very bright display.
I will have to be more careful with color re-touches.

I hated my first version of this photo.
Some of the newer entries on this challenge
inspired me to make a few changes.
I tried to correct some of the color problems.
To me the outer curtain unbalanced this photo.
It was so high and the right side seemed bare.
I lowered the top and added some curtain to the right.
Hope I improved things a little.

Great restore Matt! Colouring, de-graining and clarity are spot on, and the curtains work really well (like one of your fancy frames). The one thing I noticed was the photo looks like it's been squeezed horizontally (like maybe the constrain proportions checkbox got unchecked when resizing?)

Thanks Doug,
As you mentioned the smaller version looks squeezed
at the sides like a concertina.
Don’t know how I did that? The big version is ok though.
I'm still not crazy about this one.
I think their hair is too dark.
I should have lightened the hair and added some highlights.
But that’s a hard thing to do. I might make things worse.
Also I don't like that straight line down between dress and suit.
FrannyMae had a good idea putting a curve at the waist
to give the dress more natural shape.
