Opened in Photoimpact v6

1.Lassoed out girl and saved

2,Opened
Corel Painter Classic and imported girl

3.Used oil paint and brushes of different sizes,
opacities and colors going over the girs clothes and face

4.Saved ...reopened in Photoimpact

5.Touched up paint here and there using
eye dropper to select colors

6.Sketched a chair and painted in object mode

7.Draw tool ...created new bg shapes and painted to suit

8.Draw tool ...ellipse (as a mirror) ...white color...added a
faked in reflection with a slight transparency

9.Draw tool ...outline ...black ellipse for a frame.

10.Draw/edit path tool created a figure outline and
added a shadow...object split shadow.Deleted the figure object
Erased the shadow of girls leg.

11.Selected the chair and created shadow ..object split shadow.
erased the shadows of the chair legs.

12.Paint in object mode ...Painted in new perspective
shadows of the chair legs and the girls leg.( they had
to be cast on the floor not the wall)

13.Erased out areas of girls shadow to expose the
painted layer beneath as highlights.

14.Re-dimensiond to 800w...but had a problem from
when I created new bg ....so I had to crop to clean the edges.


15. final merge and save

Very stylish Floor has an odd perspective. I really like how you painted the girl, chair, and reflection. I'd still like to see more obvious brush-work, though.

Tom, great job with this challenge! I like the way you took the lady out of the old image and created a new background for her. I do have to agree with Doug though about the perspective for the floor.

Right Doug.
The floor boards probably should have angled just a bit to give an impression of perspective...but since the view is sorta straight on I just left it straight.

I think you brought a unique style to this image. I agree with the others in your use of bold colors and I even like the floor. Really cool work.
