I used primarily clone stamp healing brush with brush sizes set between 4-9 pixels at 700%. Opacity was set at 26 with flow at 60. Added a levels layer and a touch of blur.

You did a very nice job. From the original, it looks as if his jawline was difficult to restore. What you have accomplished looks very realistic.
