Phew! I took this one as a personal challenge and spent more time on it than I planned....

- I used the blue channel as the basis for the restoration to remove the writing
- dust & scratches filter to remove the smaller spots
- clone and healed to eliminate the larger spots and lines
- from there it was a lot of levels changes, curves adjustments, etc to get the look right
- I learned how to use edit/define pattern, then filled the siding with a more even texture
- dodged and burned highlights and shadows to bring out facial expressions
- paint brush on light opacity gray to fill in some of the blown highlights
- blurred very slightly the siding and broom behind them

That's about it! It was fun, and I learned some new techniques!
