While designing a new weaving challenge, I let myself get a little carried away. Central to tapestry weaving is the Navajo Churro, which has been brought back from near extinction. Our sheep is highlighted in burnished metallic with a heavy emboss and contour. Kokopelli is engraved with an inner shadow and "multipied" into the sandstone texture. The two feathers were given a drop shadow at default settings and copied in multiply mode several times to make them pop. The turquoise and coral jewel insets have the standard bevel and emboss. This was all created using custom shapes I drew, adjustments, filters, brushes, and various effects. I had nearly 30 layers before merging...way too many to list the steps here.

Interesting how when this was posted to the web it lost some of its depth. hmmmm guess I'll have to work on that.

This is a nice piece of graphic artwork. To me the asymmetry of the horns really works well. The loss of depth may be a result of compressing to a JPEG or possibly the change in color gamut.

Thank you Morleyuwm. Your comments meant a lot. I agree the loss of depth is most likey due to the .jpg compression used for the web. Nevertheless, it is still tough to see something you worked on squashed by "lossy".
