For the second one I tried to place the emphasis ont the figurine in the middle.
I started with the same two copied bg layers as in my first pic : a sharpened one and a blurred one.
For this image the blur for the statue in the foreground was not substantial enough. It is much closer to the "lens" so the blurring should be a lot greater.
I used different runs of small motion blurs in different directions to blur without ghosting.
I put the blurred layer on top and painted a layer mask with different b/w densities to let the sharpened image shine through in the places I wanted.
I'm not quite happy with how the plant came out though.
All suggestions welcome!
