I figured I'd have a quick look at this one before going to bed. Initial thoughts were 'bugger that'. Had a play, messing around with the channels and other things trying to eliminate that cast, I didn't particularly want to eliminate all colour and colourise.
I decided to just get rid of the red, but not by deleteing the channel, I made a 'duplicate' converted to LAB mode, selected the lightness channel and had a look. the rather obvious dark right side showed up, so applied a gradient, then spent a few mins just flattening the tonal range, getting rid of the lighter spots, mainly vertically through the center. selected the layer, and ctrl+c. Then pasted it into the red channel on my main image. This virtually eliminated the red one a few simple moves. I t0inked around tweaking the colour and brightness but nothing much helped, so I then went about painting into the red channel with a brush weight of 5-10% to darken and lighten what red remained, I used this method to increase colour to the faces, hands and arms. Spent a few mins cloning out the worst of the scratches, concentrating around the faces.
And as its 00:20am and I was origingally going to bed an hour ago. That will do, could have spent longer making more exact. but 'bugger it'

Good overall job, but there are 5 distinct skintones for 2 people Actually if you could just tone down the red of his face and her forehead, and fix that bg (doesn't match, and glowing into subjects), I'd say you could go to bed

A little off in consistancy with the skin tones. Too red in some areas. But I think you are well on your way to a good retouching. Doesn't pay to work past bedtime either.
