When in and worked with the levels on the blue channel to try and get more contrast.

Made a copy of the blue channel and pulled in all the grey tones with the levels.

Loaded selection of modify blue channel. Fill a layer with white from selection. From layers styles added a drop shadow to layer and turned down layer opacity. This added bit more contrast.

Took the burn tool and darken facial features.

Use clone brush to fix up spot areas and clone selection to fix larger areas.

Because there is just not much to work with to get great facial detail, I focus more are trying to frame the best picture.

I cleaned up the background. I fixed his tie.

Moved his pant leg down.

Fixed the bad spots on the sofa.

It could use about another hour with the working on the finer points. But I haven’t the time.

Hey, nice job of getting rid of that distraction behind his head. Nice touch. Also like how you sharpened it without over doing it. Excellent description as well.
