I feel guilty when a project takes me less than an hour....

1. made copy on seperate layer of the background and used the threshold to make a high key B&W. I then changed the layer mode to overlay
2. I super-saturated the background layer and applied the blur command and angled strokes filter
3.flattened the 2 layers together and sampled colors from another Nieman image till I got what you see here. Oh, I almost orgot: I used the chalk brush to do all my painting and smudging

This is got to be one of my favorites. Awesome job. Don't know Nieman's work but I do like yours.

I like this one best. I like the way you used the chalk brush-inspiring. I love the bright contrasting colors of the figure as opposed to the subdued background. The color and brush strokes give the image the feel of dynamic motion.
