Disclaimer – I did not try to make Allison look like herself, since I have no idea of what she looks like without a normal picture of her.

That being said, I decided to work with the points I could see on the photo.

Began, by decreasing the blue tones in the original photo with a color balance adjustment.

Selected her nose area, feathered at 8 and promoted to new layer. Free transformed to lengthen the nose and lightly smudged nostrils to close them. Added airbrush white highlights on tip of nose. Added shadow under nose by freehand selecting area under nose, feathered at 4 and airbrushed shadow.

Turned her frown upside down by copying and pasting skin areas to cover original frown lines. Used the cheek definition from the original right side of photo. Copied, pasted and transformed vertical to place on left side of face.

Used mouth from another baby photo, hue/saturation adjustments to blend, and inserted two teeth by copying and pasting the one from the Allison’s original photo.

Found photo of a baby hair band to cover the worst of the original photo. Many transformations and hue/saturation/lightness adjustments to make that fit into photo.

Erased original background and inserted my own.

Eliminated the darkest shadows on the lower face and chin area by selecting that area, feathered at 8, promoting to new layer, set to screen blend mode, opacity of 18%.

Final level adjustment to RGB of 45/1.44/2.55.

Hey Lorraine! I always look forward to seeing your work...and, as usual, you impress the heck out of me! (I was secretly hoping you'd do this one!) As the only one here who's ever met Allison (most likely) I say you did a wonderful job! :o)

I love that head wrap and you didn't cheat with the "soft focus" look like I did
Great work and crisp.

Thanks so much, grafx.

This time, I tried not to go for the soft look because Doug has always been on my case about my tendency to use too much blur and smudge.

I really appreciate your looking at this and your comments.
