Succesfully coloring a photo this old is damn hard.
This looks good and I like the khaki color uniforms.
Only one small thing, I think the blue window glass
looks a bit over-saturated in relation to the rest of the photo.
Like that tree - but only in color.

Thanks Matt, you were right about the window (wasn't as noticeable when the boys were blue). As for the tree... I couldn't decide what to do with it so I left it for 'posterity'.

Woah, cool bananas!
Except from the skin tones it could go almost for a real color picture.

Thanks Marc. You were right, I did some more research and discovered that they didn't have orange tanning cream in 1904 Africa. Tweaked the skin-tones as best I could (this color stuff is still over my head). I noticed too how filthy the bottle guy's pants are, but I'm sure Matt will wash and iron them if he colors your pic.

Thank you creartist1971. Here's my tutorial, (which includes everything I know about colorizing). Select, new layer, mode colorize, paint-bucket and adjust hue/saturation and opacity.

Through my eyes, I can only say this is simply outstanding. Awesome stuff. I've never tried the colour mode.....I'm going to give it a go now. Thanks for the tip.

Why not just call it "Afrakhaki?"
