Hi, Im new to the board. I used to do this professionally for a local photographer but changed jobs to do graphics. I really miss retouching and photo manipulation so I was happy to find this site so I can still do it and not worry about losing the talent. plus i really like to see how other people achieve there results. great site. Heres what I did.
went into the hue/saturation and reduced the saturation in the reds. I then went into levels and changed my auto settings to 235 whites and 4 black so i didnt blow any detail out. once i was ok with the current color at that time i went through it at 200% to dust spot any blemishes with the stamp tool, and reduced the opacity to reduce the glares and harsh shadows on the face. once all the cosmetics were done I went back in and used the desaturate tool on the background, the dodge tool on the shadows(midtone selected), and the burn tool ( midtones selected) to even out all the discrepencies in tones. I still had a problem with skin tones matching so I selected what i thought was a good skin tone off of the woman believe it or not and used the airbrush tool to color in over the skin of the people using it in color mode at about 13% opacity. same with his shirt only using a blue grey.

Has an unusual, almost infra-red look to it. A bit of haloing and color bleed. Excellent evening out of the tones.

Welcome aboard. Good to have another one submitting. Excellent job in keeping the detail -- something I didn't do as well. I think the image could use a little more punch, and the skintones could probably be a little more lively. Overall, very good job.

Ohhhh,

I think you've done the best job on this tough little
booger to date. The only thing I notice is a bit of red eye.

Nice work.

Terrific work. I love the detail in the faces (that I wasn't able to keep). Excellent.
