Submitted by Brenda Pierce (AKA Aarius):
"I have worked on this photo of my Great Grandmother Boone for ages and I thought I'd pick a few pointers while in class but we are not using Photo Shop Pro except as an adjunct to Illustrator.
I'd be tickled more than pink to have anyone help with this photo.
I have learned a lot about Photo Shop just because of this photo. I can't wait to see what you and/or others do with it."
Thanks
Brenda Pierce

Question: her necklace looks odd. As if it has been cut & pasted from another image. I have seen old images where this has been done, so I'm wondering if this is the original or a partially restored version?

You'd have to ask Brenda about that. But I didn't do anything to it

Vikki, I found myself wondering about her attire while I was working on the photo. She presents as a very dignified, intelligent lady and the 'brass' necklace in my mind, does seem at odds with the rest of her. I located a button, top right shoulder and the chain seems to go under those so perhaps they connect there on either side. I found my self wondering if in fact, the gown styled clothing, and the brass necklace were part of some official attire. A chain of offcie perhaps? As though she were 'Lady President' or similar of some organisation, maybe social, educational .. who knows?

Hey Doug, would it be okay to use this original shot in my portfolio? I was very happy with the result I got. Cheers, Emmanuel
